Many of you have told us how angry, frustrated and disappointed you are with the outcomes of Airservices Australia’s Package 3 process.
You participated.
You attended consultations.
You made submissions.
You provided evidence.
You engaged in good faith.
And once again, communities feel they have not been heard.
We are not alone. Across Brisbane and South East Queensland, communities fighting to protect public land, wildlife, heritage, neighbourhoods and community amenity are discovering remarkably similar problems.
Different communities. Different issues. Same broken system. That’s why BFPCA has decided to stand alongside other community groups at the Save Our Legacy – Community Rally:

This is an opportunity to turn our frustration into peaceful, visible action and remind decision-makers that communities deserve more than consultation processes that leave them feeling ignored.
Aircraft noise is our fight. Being heard is everyone’s fight.
BFPCA is supporting this rally because we believe communities should have a genuine say in decisions that affect their homes, health, neighbourhoods and quality of life. Standing together also means showing solidarity with other community organisations facing their own David-versus-Goliath battles.
This is not a BFPCA-organised event, and our participation should not be interpreted as BFPCA endorsing the individual positions of every group attending. We are joining and supporting Save Our Legacy – Community Rally, which brings together South East Queensland communities to protect the legacies that make our region liveable, connect people, share ideas and amplify local campaigns.
Come along and join the BFPCA contingent.
Bring your posters, yard signs, caps and T-shirts. Bring your family, neighbours and friends. Never been to a rally before? That’s fine too – just come along.
The rally is peaceful, family-friendly and open to everyone.
After everything Brisbane communities have been through since the new runway opened in 2020 – and particularly after Package 3 – now is the time to show up, stand together and make ourselves visible.
